Why Sprinting is Essential for Distance Runners

Recently, Eliud Kipchoge ran a marathon in 1 hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds. To do this, he had to average a speed of 13.1 miles per hour throughout the race! In other words, he had to be fast, but you don't have to be Eliud to run faster. Anyone can benefit from incorporating more sprinting into their run programming!
